Google Unveils Search By Image

Google Image Search

Have you ever found yourself needing to search for something online but don’t know the best way to describe it? Well, once again, Google has come to the rescue. Last week, Google unveiled their new Search by Image applications.

By visiting http://images.google.com, you have the capability to begin your search using an image. Google offers four ways to search by image:

  • Drop and drag your image from the web or your computer into the search box;
  • Upload an image from your desktop;
  • Copy and paste the URL for an image you’ve found online;
  • Using either the Chrome or Firefox extension.

I tested Google’s new search capability by dragging a photo of a daisy into the search box. These are the results. The results are impressive.
